Strange hands down. QA1 are imported and have had their share of issues. Strange is made in Chicago and i have never heard of any problems with them. believe it or not... Strange also cost less. its a no-brainer.

I did plenty of searching before I bought mine and most of the chassis sponsors on here recommend the Strange shocks over QA1.

I was recommended Strange over QA1 as well. The chassis guys said that the Strange is more responsive to adjusting. "one click of the **** makes a big difference compared to 5 clicks to make a difference on the QA1", as was told to me.

Just an issue i ran into WillyZ aka William C a buddy of mine had the **** on his QA1 go bad and we ask a QA1 tech guy at a race to help us out he said it would be over a 100 bucks hell the shock wasnt much more and they was very rude just an experance i had he may have just been having a bad day.

Yes strange has several spring choices up to 325lb. For the price Strange shocks are the best value on the market.

Strange has the availability of the stock upper spring perch setup, or the drag race style setup.

the drag race setup uses a 2.5" id standard coil-over spring and eliminates the rubber spring perch. the coil-over springs are available in several lengths and weight.

the most common stock upper mount spring is a 300 pound, which Strange sells as well. the QA1 springs in 275# and 325# will work on the Strange shock if the 300 is not what you need.

i have the best deals on any shock/spring combo you need. pm me or call the shop.

all the single adj shocks are extension adjustable. this is the most common for the average street/strip cars and are the most cost effective.

the double adjustable shocks are compression and extension adjustable. the double adjustable shocks work well on cars that tend to get the front tires off the ground and have higher trap speeds. the double adjustable shocks when tuned properly can aid cars with downtrack traction, especially 6 speed cars that see alot of suspension travel during gear shifts.

so is it better on the 6 speed cars to have double adj all the way around? or more important in the rear?

and ill send you a pm when i need them. the sprint car team i work on is usin qa1's this year and will make a big purchase so if i can get a great deal with that purchase then i have to.

d/a shocks all the way around sure isnt a bad idea, but maybe overkill for some cars. all depends on how serious you are and what you want to spend. more important in the front if you are gonna do a s/a and d/a combo.

Id disagree with that. I have a 6 speed car on drag radials and the double adjustable shocks in the rear are the biggest step forward in getting the car to work with the violent loading/unloading it sees vs a auto car, the front I run are single adjustable.

Every car we do starts with a single adjustment in the front, and if its a stick car or limited tire auto car a double in the back.

i think when i buy im goin to stick with s/a because its simpler i dont know that much about suspension tuning and think d/a would be alot to learn. ssvert99 i pm'd you for a quote.
