Prostock motor's rev to the MOON, and they don't makes **** for tq. That's why they have a 5 speed gearbox in them, because they have to.

Honestly the prostock motors probably make that kind of HP, with about 1/3 of the tq.

You put that motor in a prostock car and they'd be going bottom 6's with them as it is n/a, becuase I guarintee that motor probably makes triple the tq across most of the rpm range. You'd have to totally redo he gearing as well.

The top Pro Stock guys are making @ 1500-1600 HP and they spin them to 10,000+ RPM. EVERYTHING in and on a Pro Stock Chassis is about less rotational weight, down to the titanium lug nuts. Billy Glidden once said if you "breathed" on teh gas pedal it would rev to 10K

That being said, if you put this motor in a Pro Stock Chassis, and set it up for the additional torque/HP it would be an easy 6.50 player, NA.

Its Sonny Leonard. Enough said. He is the man. I remember Steve D was the number one qualifier in Top sportsman at N.E.D. with a Prototype Chevrolet Hemi N/A the car went fast enough to make the Promod field. Sonny was there doing the tuning.
Sonny is the man.

I just wanted to post some facts from teh article:

802CI
1,417 HP @ 7100 RPM
1,140 lb-ft @ 5800 RPM

11:1 and it runs on 89 Octane

Cam specs:
284/314 @ .050 and a whopping 1.110" of lift

Bore size is 4.751 and teh sroke is 5.700

Deck height is almost 12" at 11.985"

It has eight throttle bodies, each with a 2 1/2" diameter

Intake valve is 2.550 and teh exhaust is 2.00

And it is using 96LB/HR injectors, again, NA.

This motor, with more compression, aluminum rods (this one has steel),and more cam, runs 6.20's in IHRA Pro Stock

And he also has teh 892 Ci version which as already stated, but not much detail in teh article, made 2,072 HP and 1,444 Lb Ft NA

Hhahaha....615 CFM @ 1.10" on teh intake and 425CFM @ 1.10 on teh exhaust

Using a 2.680 intake valve and a 2.040 exahust valve. He also offers a 2.700" intake valve. Imagine the load placed on the valve springs opening and closing those valves @ 7000+ RPM

I knew Top Fuel had a limit, was not aware of a limit on Pro Stock
