Default 5 Point Harness....which one....Please Help

I need a harness that wraps the roll bar (double), but bolts in the factory location.

I would prefer a Simpson, or RCI

Can I get a duel wrap around and buy the latches to make it a bolt in??

Is this legal:

Yes you are on the right track. Bolt the lap belts to the stock location, wrap around's are legal. They need to go through the seats or have something blocking the from sliding off your shoulders. Get the Wolf crotch strap bracket to mount that one on the bar that will bolt in the frt seat bolts. Very simple, nothing has to be modified.

I personally like the belts that bolt to a tab on the rollbar.. it's not that hard/expensive to put a tab on the rollbar to bolt the belts to.. but if you don't have access to someone that can do it the 55 inch one you have listed should be fine. I have 55 inch belts in my car and I'm a bigger guy and there's about a 1/2 mile more belt then what's really needed.

Camlock ones are nice and are a little quicker to get in and otu of, I ran a simpson latch hook for the last 2 years and it wasn't a big deal, did take a little longer though.

Still undecided as to what I want to replace it with now that the cert is up on them.

i had the std rci camlocks before, i really liked the placement of the tightening mechanism on the lap belt. much more comfortable for street driving than the strouds i have now, but stroud has very soft webbing. much easier on the shoulders.
if i had to do it over again, i would have gotten my rci camlocks recert by stroud so id have some nice soft webbing.
and the fact that rci camlocks are the cheapest anywhere.
just remove the ugly loco on the cam lock and you are set.

I got the Stroud kam locks and love them. I have a Wolfe roll bar & crotch strap mount, I had to tell them what I wanted but they can make them any way you want.

Unless you are having a problem with the belts sliding side to side, the wrap-around mounting technique to the cross-bar will be stronger. You are taking the chance of (1) bolt, (1) tab, and (1) weld to fail out of the equation.

Also, depending how you "clock" the tab on the bar, it may not be perfectly inline with the direction of pull, where the wrap-around style orients itself.

Finally, the preferred mounting technique on professional cars is to drill through the rollbar, weld in a "spud", and run the bolt through that. They then run the v-style bolt-in shoulder harness.

this is what we did with my wolfe bar, and i am very pleased with it.

I ran a simpson harness that was latch style and now by cert is up and im not sure what i want to get, but i did like my simpsons nothing to complain about.
