i'm about to buy some pro stars also. does anyone have pics of a 275 on an 8" rim, and also a 10" rim. the guy i'm trying to buy them from swears they're a 9" wheel, but correct me if i'm wrong, prostars were never made in anything but an 8 or 10" wide.

Here are 275/60's mounted on 15x8's, sorry for the shitty cell phone pic. I don't have 275's mounted on 10's but i do have hoosier 28x10.5 slicks.

Never weighed the 2 but id guess at least a couple pounds + the bigger the tire the more it weighs(the whole point of going with the 15x10s is for bigger tires). If a 1.2 60ft can be done on a 275 DR on 15x8s, thats good enough for me.

oh well i just found this too... i dn if its different for stangs or not... shouldnt be...

http://www.moddedmustangs.com/forums...l-weights.html

15x8's 12lbs

15x10's 14lbs

4lbs total.... i dn i think 15x10's r worth it just in case u want to go bigger... if it is only 4lbs

4lbs plus the added weight of the bigger tires.
Would you remove a pc of worthless weight off the car even if it was only 4 pounds? Probably, so why not do it at the most critical areas of the car=rotating weights.

Again if you could run a 1.2 60ft on a 275 DR, why the hell would you need bigger tires?

I myself favor the 15x10. I would also venture to say my 15x10 has to weigh in as much if not less than what a 15x8 prostar weighs.

the pic posted above looks the same as yours.

Eitherway both will work 100x better than a stock rim, and most will never put on/ need anything bigger than a 11.5 tire. And I still havent seen one factual post on why a 15x10 is actually better, on anyone in this threads car.

You must have missed it, but the point was raised a few times of the 15x10 providing a much better contact patch for a 275/50 tire vs putting that tire on a 15x8. Now a 275/60 would be better off on a 15x8 rim because of the added sidewall being 28" in diameter.

And the picture posted above looks nothing like my rims/tires.
