Those tires are good for a better 60' than 1.65. Tires are only a small part of your short time. You are seriously lacking in the gear department, and probably need to play with your pressure a little more. Also, what is your suspension setup (shocks, springs, torque arn, lca's....)?

Even with the tire having very little sidewall, I managed to consistently cut 1.60 60' with the same setup. Even with the 17" wheels out front. And that was with strano spings and koni s/a shocks. Which is not not an ideal drag setup.

That is true with an automagic. with a 6 spd I am yet to see better 60 ft times N/A . I have seen cars with nitrous get out on motor and then spray get 1.60's with a 6spd though.

On the street I can leave at 4000 rpm's on that Nittos and hook. My suspension consist of bmr tq arm with pinion angle set by madman at the last thunder shootout, stock shocks all 4 corners, bmr panhard bar, lakewood lca with relocate brackets. No front sway bar. South side machine subframe connectors(heavy but very strong).

Thats it.

Full weight SS, all power options. Only weight reduction was the spare tire and jack.

My suspension is stock 01 ws6 suspension. On my lt1 lca's made a world of difference.

Btw I have sprayed as soon as I felt my car hook up and I still run the same 60' as I do all-motor...which I thought was very weird.

I didnt want to do gears bc I dont believe in investing any money in stock rearend.

So what kind of 60's do you think are possible with different lcas and TA using the same tire and gear.

Thanks

Pride

A friend of mine has gone 1.52, 10.3x @124 with 315 nitto's almost pulling the tires. The track here likes them. This is with stock susp. and sportline springs. I dont know how but that car always has worked.
