Default Need a better 60ft! 6spd People Help Me out!

Let me give you soe info and mods are in the sig. Ok, on et streets when dumping around 5K or higher the best i've cut is a 1.86, maybe it is the track prep but launching high I would either bog or spin. I also removed the front sway bar. When doing burnouts with the et streets the car would seem to pull to the left hard so i would have to let out. Maybe a line lock would help with that. But main question is what do I need on this car to get a better 60ft? The best i've done so far is 7.82@91.7, compared to my stock cam that I can 7.9@89.7. Any helpful advice is welcome.

Thanks

i have a 01 m6 with a full bmr susp-under the car,12 bolt with 4.11's and m&h racemaster tires,16psi(i hate et-streets). i heat the tires, stage it up to 5,000 rpm's and on last yellow light i slip the clutch (only alittle)dump and floor it. my best 60 is 1.61 and 1.64 on a crapy track.i have no front runners and swaybar still on,my front tires even come off the ground a few inches.

Your trapping 94.7 with a 224 cam? How much does your car weigh and what are your dyno numbers? Most are telling me I'm not trapping high because I'm not getting a good 60ft.

I think you need a linelock, 4.30 gears, 26X10 15 ET Drags, and a Right Rear Airbag.

The burnout antics you are describing will be a thing of the past with a linelock.
IMO 4.30's are a great gear for a 26 inch tire, or you could try 4.56's but then you would need 28 inch tires, which require fender trimming (which is why I didnt reccoment them).

You might also consider a random tech torque arm and a thicker rear swaybar.

Also, do you think the eibach's are hurting the car at all? Some people have good luck with them, but some dont.

I used to run my 16x26x11 ET streets at 11psi, get the tires completely wet..pull up to a dry spot, do my burnout til it screeches and launch at 6000rpm with 4.10's. I got high 1.6's most of the time.

28s and 4.56's are where it's at though.

I have no idea if the eibach springs are hurting me. With my stock cam, stock rear and clutch on nittos I was cutting low 1.9's launching at 4k and running 7.9's@89.(dynoed 368/378). Since then I added my cam, rear end and spec clutch and have only gained a tenth and 2mph with somewhat the same 60ft. How will the rear swaybar help out? Same thing with the torque arm. Maybe my cam sucks, I only gained 40/ and 0 torque from it. Strange. Maybe my car has other issues? Thanks for the replies so far guys.

Haven't screwed any of them. I think the 28x9 MT Drags are supposed to be 27". They hook pretty damn good too.

Mark was the person that talked me into the 28x9" et drags. they measure 27.3" around and i love them. i have hooked at low as 1.51 and have averaged mid 1.55 all day. i also race at around 3590 lbs or so. i have never screwed mine and dont liek the idea of tubes since i have seen so many pinch the tubes resulting in a flat. i did that a few years ago and never have run them again.

Yea i have the same problem I can't get a good 60 ft. for nothing. My best so far is a 1.69. I have fron't Hals up front, no swaybar, lca's and 27" qtp's. I usually launch at 4 grand and i still spin. I spun when I got the 1.69. Is there a 28x10 ET. drag? If there is, is that the same height has the 28x9 et drag?
