Looks really good except for the big ugly rusty clamp on the turndown!

Yeah I wasnt too pleased about that either. I will pull the pipe and paint it high temp silver. You won't see any rust.

I did this and it was HORRIBLE. Droan, rasp, terrible. I don't mind loud as I originally had the LM I, but this was just not a good tone at all. I replaced the y-bullet-turndown for a Magnaflow system which is growing on me (very quiet).

Added a video!

Exhaust is a lot deeper in person. A little point and shoot camera doesn't have the best microphone in the world. Haha.

i like the y-pipe to bullet turndown setup with no cats but want my car to be quiet at idle and low rpms. any flow dissadvantages to running this same setup but with 2 or 3 bullets instead of 1? their straight through design doesnt look like it could rob any power...

I assume you mean putting a couple bullets where the cats would usually go? That's a thought...

I also just put a 3" Y pipe on my car with a 3" bullet dumped and am very happy with the way it sounds. Not too loud, but not too quiet, goood sound.

My car LOST right at 30RWHP going from open headers to a 3" 'Y" pipe with a Dynomax bullet dumped.. I was very surprised, I figured it would be within 5-10 hp either way.

It was pretty loud, too loud for me to wanna drive it every day like that. It was just quiet enough to keep the po po off my ***.

This was on a stalled auto, 9" stock cube H/C/I car that made 435 rwhp with open headers. I just figured I'd share that info with those who care.

was it a quality merge y or just a pipe stuck into a pipe like some folks do?

It was a 3" "Y" pipe that came with the Jet Hot headers. It's a quality piece.
