Default Pics of Cut-off swithch mounting

Id like to see how everyone is mounting their cut-off switches with a relocated battery. Im thinking of comin out the tail panel or the passenger side tail light. Wanted to see what type of switch and the box set-up. Id like to make it as neat as possible and still be legal for the track. Thanks

No pics as my car is at the shop right now, but I can try and explain mine...

I put it in the spare tire well, with a sealed legal box, by doing the following:
getting a 10X15 (roughly) 3/16 Aluminum plate
scraping off the factory seam sealer in that area where the stock jack went
laying the plate in there flat and marking the power antenea bracket at the height of the plate
cut the antenea bracket so the plate fits flush/level on it
notch the antenea bracket just larger then your plate so it slides in and hold it tight
I the used the plate to mount everything to (the switch and the battery box)
When the battery box is bolted down it goes through the plate and through the body panel between the frame rail and the spare tire well

pics of mine will have to wait, I never took pics when I finished installing mine last weekend before taking the car down to get the cage installed, maybe when I get status pics of the cage install it might show you something, but other then that I have to wait at least a week or more till the cage is done before I can get pics of it myself...

mine is in this position, but with a plate under it fully and extending over the frame rail with more support, and the switch is also attached to the plate next to the box not behind it like that pic...

I was thinking I read somewhere that the switch had to be push/pull to be NHRA legal, adn the rotary switches wouldn't pass tech. Anybody know for sure?

I've heard that before, but never had an issue personally, nor have I ever heard of anyone having an issue. A lot of my friends run that on/off style switch and they never say anything at our NHRA track.

i like it i just think a pull looks cleaner

I did not cut the metal, I ran the 2 wire through grommets and put the connectors on after..... I used the screw on ones from moroso then heat shrink over top of them.
