I think you will be happy with that. When I was running regular tires it cost me more than running DR because the regular tires spun so easy. I even delivered pizza on DR in my v6 camaro. They were great because I could accelerate full throttle and not have to worry about actracting too much attention because they never made a squeeling sound even if they did happen to spin. Any fast car I have that I drive on the street will have DR on it no matter what.

gorace, what is your setup?

I recently ran my 402/6speed setup on 17" drag radials and ran 11.7 @ 116. On 28" slicks the car runs in the mid-high 10s at 128-130.

Im not sure why my trap speed is so low on the 17s though.

402 235's 1 7/8 kooks 92/92 and it made 525 at the wheels with a completly burnt through spark plug wire so I figure closer to 540 at the wheels what is your rear gear and I have m12 gearing

13.16 @ 108.65, 2.18 60 ft on rock-hard Kelly Chargers. Ended up running 12.72 on a 1.93 60 ft with no changes besides Nitto 555Rs and better weather.

With having a 6-speed car I would use a set of M/T ET streets not the raidal tire. Seems like stick cars like the softer sidewall. I drove my car with the M/T ET street tires to the track and back home. The track is 48.1 miles from my house.
