3300#
11.5:1 408 with tea tfs 235 heads and a hyd roller.
mine would go 9's but ill never get to a 1/4 mile track anytime soon.
been tons of 6.30's 1/8 mile.
got a few more pounds out of it now, just need to get my driveshaft back in and get to the track.
at your weight, it will get there.
id look into a lil bigger converter than what you have, depending on how high you spin it.

Exactly. The planataries on the tranny can't take more then 6500 rpm before they start to get eaten, this is a 100% fact. That, along with the stress of the launch, the case flexes, the shafts aren't string enough.. it will not stay togeher for more then probably 50 passes in a track only car without a failure.

Shitcan that tranny now and save yourself alot of grief. I'd say the same thing if I was Rossler and was the one that built it, but you can't really expect them to trash their own product.

If you can get an ls3 block go for it, 416 CI build is pretty much the same cost other then the block if you're starting with a fresh one.

Sounds good guys thanks for all the input. I will most likely be going LS3. And I will reconsider that 4L60E.

Not if you plan on L92's (they don't make a Super Victor for teh 92's) AND your Vic jr will NOT work with the '92's.

So, if you go L92, you have to get rid of your intake for your cathedrals, and the best carb style intake out for teh L92, is the (you guessed it) the Vic Jr. (again, no Super Vic for 92's)

9.90's on pump gas @ 3000 LBS.

402-408...stick with a 4.00" crank though, as you might end up wanting to spray it (or boost it) one day, and with any more stroke than teh 4.00", you are gonna be limited on piston strength.

For PURE budget...L92s, CNC'd and assembled from Scroggin Dickey, good for .650 with Manley Valves, for @ $775 for teh PAIR (you simply can not touch that deal with anything out there)

Vic Jr.

11.5:1

Hydraulic roller 24x/25x with @ .63x on a 112

Would ditch teh 4l60 as well, and go t350/400 if want to stick with an auto.

Throw some 4.56's on a 28" tall tire...
