most run 15's, but you have to either get rims that fit without grinding which is expensive or grind your calipers to fit.. Depends what your looking for, I run a stock 16 in the back at the track so I can have more sidewall but don't have to grind anything..

I run a 15" summit star in the back. Had to grind a little bit but nothing crazy. Also run a 15" Greg Weld wheel in the front and it fit like a glove.

You do realize the larger the rim you have the less sidewall you have??

For example a 28" tire on my 15" rim has more sidewall than if you had 28" tires on your 16" rims.

Right, but his car came with 17s so by buying, finding, or stealing a 16" stocker he gained sidewall.

yes sir, 17's stock so switching to the 16's gave me more sidewall and also allowed me to not have to grind anything.. If id had the money I would buy something else like billet specialties etc, but a 16 is plenty for a 11 sec auto in my opinion
