Default 10 Second 6 speed Cars

What size/kind of rear tires are you guys using, and what kind of 60's do you get with them. Right now I have 26/10.50/15 MT ET Streets on a 15x8" wheel. I know the tracks are getting cold and hard to hook so that is part of my traction issues, but I'd like some ideas on tire sizes and choices.

There's a few things I'll be doing to the car this winter including: minitubbing, gear change, upsize to a 15x10" wheel, and I might narrow the rearend (undecided on that).

So let's hear what works for your cars.

I have a 01 ws.6,m6,4.11's, 3,600+lbs car w/me,over 500hp 10.8's n/a 1.49 60 on that run. 1.42 best 60's all on the M&H Racemaster 26x11.5x15 cheeter slick. I had NO luck with the M/T Tires,drag or street,on my car they did not hook like the M&H Racemaster did.

I've been reading alot of good things about those M&H tires. If they offer a 27/11.50/15 I might have to give them a shot next year.

What size wheel are you running and what kind of offset with the narrowed rearend? I'm contemplating narrowing my rearend, but I don't think I'd go quite as much as yours. Do you have any pics of your rear wheel combo on the car? Did you have to minitub it for that large of tire?

I haven't had any luck with my MT's. They just spin and spin and spin lol.... I've tried all kinds of different things and I'm just about exhausted all I can on this size tire.

Are you running a 15x10 wheel with that size? Maybe that's part of my traction problem? I've got the 26/10.50 mounted on a 15x8 wheel.

that vid is about 3 years old. lol i've changed up motors since then.

it was a forged 347. TEA Heads, Fast 90/NW90, MS3, duals, etc.

had a TNT F2 kit, but that run there was on a 250 dry shot.

1.40 60ft 6.38@97mph. lol

should ahve shifted to 4th, but thought i was closer to the line then i really was. car trapped 108ish on runs after that... so who know what it "would" have been...

6.2X maybe. :dunno:

TEA stage 1.5's 5.3l... they were off the shelf heads. nothing crazy about them. only flowed like 315cfm...

those heads, MS3, pacesetter LT's, duals, FAST 90/NW90 and the car made 455hp/404tq n/a tune through a 12bolt and 4.10's...

made 705hp/8XXtq on a 300 shot on a nitrous tune(TNT F2 kit)

then on that run it was on a dry shot and was making in the 650hp range...

i'd call and talk to them. with the extra cubes you have, i think the runner's on the 5.3l heads are too small... it's going to choke the motor.
