UMI drag bar installed...
About the only "issue" I had (mind you, NOT UMI's fault) is my Strange S60 had the sway bar brackets already welded on and they are just about 1/2" too far apart to be just right to install the bar on. Now, I got it on there anyway, it just is at the limit as far as the bushings go. UMI even told me they often have to cut those off and use the supplied brackets. It was so close I think it'll be ok.
It'll be next year before I get it to the track for results, but I figured since it was a new product I'd share my experience thus far.
The instructions (which I didn't use, these are pretty self explanatory) are good, but I am wondering (maybe I missed it?) why there are two sets of holes on the end of the bar for the end links? Which do you use and why?
I have been looking into getting a drag bar but i am afraid of tearing off the endlinks by taking a turn to fast.
Yes the drag bar is made from chome moly steel, however it is not lighter than mild steel (if they are made from the same size). Chrome moly steel has a higher tensile and yield strength over mild steel. On tubular items when we use chrome moly steel we can use thinner wall tubing over mild steel and this is what makes it lighter than a mild steel item. When you use the same size chrome moly as mild steel the weights will be equal but chrome moly would be stronger.
Hope that tech tip helps!

If your car has no front sway to begin with, this bar makes the car drive it it has one again which is awesome. It takes the steering response from a "Busted Ravioli" to on a Razor's Edge. I drive the car on the freeway and I need to do is slightly turn the wheel I mean it feels like I only have to nudge it 10-15 degrees and it turns with ease.
Be CAREFUL on quick, higher speed turns, this thing CAN turn around on you. So like said in the beginning, if your putting a bar on it, you will need to learn a new style of driving.
There is a little noise with the rod ends, nothing crazy, but you hear it from time to time on rutty roads.

take a look here at the before and after on BadHawk's ride from the old school twist to straight as you can get

They do tend to make a little noise due to the solid ends and the car will ride stiffer. This is a little trade off for the big gains it makes at the track.
