what's my problem?
Ran my car this season and had very consistent 12.72's @ 111.2mph. all year long. Problem is the math of 111.2 mph says the car "should" be running low 12.20's. Whats my problem?

put a converter in it and go 1.6x-1.5x in the sixty it will go easy 12.1's- 12.2's is my guess in good weather.
Shoulda been one of your first mods if you wanted to go fast IMO.

Thanks for all the responses. I bought the car this year with the mods you read in my thread. I just added the Micky T's. You can bet I'll have a YANK in it for next year !

Yank SS3600 or 4000 if you wanna go for mroe, and low low 12's for sure, hell cam only I should be mid 11's still bone stock suspension et street radials and a custom 3k stall and built trans.
a converter with your gears will get you bookin and cookin.

I don't have a yank but my car pulls hard.. this is the dumbest thing said, you are a normal ls1tech arrogant person, why question it when it works, circle d works well too, but yank is a proven performing converter.
If you have something better post up man don't sit here like an arrogant *** thinking we are lesser people because we suggest a really good converter, and you know sooo much more than us.

Go with the Yank SS4000. Even my mild LT1 with a SS3600 needs a higher stall rating. I'm sticking with Yank and having it restalled to 4k.

Give Greg at FTI 1 866 726 8358 a call and have him set you up a converter for YOUR car, not a mass made converter that supposibly stalls to 4000 on one car but more or less on another based on power.
ofcourse IMO!

See this was constructive, thanks I may give them a call too when I get closer to needing a higher stall and someting closer to my setup i am going with.

My first choice on coverters would be Circle D but if you're gonna go with a yank don't even bother with the SS series, just go straight for a PT converter.
Make sure you have some tires and suspension so you can hook once the converter is in.
