Tucking 28x10.5 slicks
Quick question for the guys that have tucked 28x10.5 slicks.
I have the following:
9" Housing narrowed 3" Per side.
Wolfe Mini Tubs
Wolfe Coil Spring Locator
A Burkhart Suspenion setup is on the way.
I have figure out that I need a 15x10 wheel and 4.5"BS to keep the wheel where is would be stock. Typical 7.5"BS - 3" on the rear = 4.5" BS.
Okay, if I want to tuck the rear tire would a simple 15x10 with a 5"BS do the deed with out causing alot of issue with the LCA's.
I am trying to nail down the stance and look of the car. Seeing that the front end is 1" Narrower I want the rear tucked and car sitting low in the rear to match.

if you want to tuck the tire, i would run a 5.5-6" BS wheel. that way, you will easily be able to sit the car on top of the 28 slick and hide some of the tire. remember that at stock placement (considering your basis as a 7.5" BS and stock width) you are no where near able to tuck a tire.

With a 3 inch narrowed axle you can run a 5.5 inch backspace wheel and it on't hit the control arm if you are running offset ones, it's damn close, but it will fit.
Now, if you narrow the rear if you want to put a 15x12 6 inch backsapce wheel and want to tuck that, you're in for a treat.. that takes narrowing the rear about 5 inches, and that requires cutting the lca mounts and making them 1/2 width, cutting all the bump stop area off, minitub for sure, narrowing the phb mount and the phb... turns into a real project.
But that's a killer look

15x10 with a 28x10.5 is the largest tire I plan to run. The 9" Housing I have is already cut 3" per side. I figure a 5"BS will semi tuck the tire with out cuaing issues. Though if a 5.5"BS will clear everything I am game for that too. Another 1/2" is always good. Chuck at Burkhart is sending the LCA's with Offset bushings.

You should be fine. I have a set of offset lca's that eastside did, and with a stock width rear and the bogarts, I have about an inch and a half between the tire adn the lca. The bushings were also made so that there's another 1/2 inch I can pull the arm in, if I put the rod end right up against the inner portion of the mount.
So.. pulling the tires in 1.5 inches would still leave me with a 1/2 inch gap, which should be enough.

i'm going through the same thing right now trying to figure out what BS/Offset to go with. I plan on going 3" per side with a 5.5" BS on a 15x10. That will bring it in 1". It's also with a 325 MT. It's a little frustrating trying to make a decision.

I've got a burkhart rear narrowed 2.5" on each side with thier offset LCA's. I have 5" backspace alumastars with 28 x 11.5 et drags and the stock wheel wells. The wheel is basically positioned as it would be with a stock rear and 7.5" backspace. It doesn't stick out, but deffinately wouldn't tuck. There is a ton of room between the tire and the LCA's however...I'll measure tomorrow just to be exact but I'd say theres well over an inch of clearance there right now, and a 10.50 tire would have a little more clearance than what I'm running.

I am not looking to completely tuck the tire and slam the car. I just want the rear tires pulled in under the car enough to match the front end. I think a set of 15x10 wheels with a 5" BS lwill be good for what I am wanting to do with out causing any issues. I am going to hand the rear housing and measure everything first.

Im just keeping the offset were it is now with my stock lenght s60, and little thinner drag rotor. Fully rolled fenders, the 28x10.5 fit inside the lip, setting the rideheight to 27.5/28 (26x10/7.5bs) setup
Going 3inch a side shorter. to 4.5bs
roll the fenders right over, if you havn't.
what car is this camaros have a little less room the firbirds.
