Default questions about what backspacing I need

I just ordered a MW 9 rear narrowed 3 inches on each side. I am going to get the billet specialties in 17x11 but I am unsure about the BS that I need to order them in.
I was told 5.5 would fit but I have been reading some and I come up with 4.75 backspacing since the 17x11 fit perfect with a 7.75 bs.....

please advice and discuss this before I pull the trigger,
BTW I saw some white Transam with this wheels and same setup and it looks so damn good....
thanks in advance

17x11 7.5" Back Spacing is stock.
Narrowed 3" side. 7.5" -3" = 4.5"
You need a 17x11 4.5" Back Spacing t5o put the wheel in the factory location.

so If I get a 4.75, would the rim be tucked in and centered a lot better?
what would you get if this was your set up? I think Im going to be running a MT 315/35/17 in there.,

4.5 would put the outside of the tire in the stock location 4.75 would make it stick out further just as josh said

Actually, the 4.75 would move the wheel in more toward center, not out.

ohhhh damn I knew that it will place the wheel towards the center more but I am not sure how much I want to get it to tuck so it wont rub in the inner or outer walls.
