Depending on suspension and use of the car I don't see why bump stops are needed. For a car that is primarily driven on the track or even on weekend (given you are not going Duke's Of Hazard style over speed bumps) I cannot see a need for them. I cut mine out awhile back in order to clear my 28x11.5's and haven't had an issue yet.....

Dave leave them out, my car used to hit them and cause it to unload and spin, you don't want that when you hit the track this spring trust me.
I tried cutting the stock ones back, still didn't work, so I took them off, picked up a tenth in the 60 foot.
Worst that will happen is the tq arm will dent the tunnel a little, but after a couple launches it will clearance itself
When you gonna make your first trip? I'm in germany for work from the 4-17 to 5-1 this year But if you're going before that or after that, lemme know I'll come help. I can bring my fire suit in case you want someotn to take a pass in it , and I can sign off on your lic runs too (need to go get my physcial so I can renew mine)

I actually put a bump stop over the rear center section and hit's against a crossbrace on the frame.Didn't have one for awhile but on the highway I hit a dip and the rear smashed under the car. At the track my car lifts the rear on the launch so bottoming out there is not a problem.

Don mark that bump stop you have with a silver grease pen next time you run at the track and see if it's leaving a mark on the body, I didn't think my car was hitting the bump stops either until I marked it and found that it was, that's why I ended up taking them off.
My car doesn't lift, usually pulls the front a foot or so and carried it out 30 to 40 feet, rear doesn't really move at all other then down from the hit on the tires.
Every car's a little different, but mark the bumpstop, see if it actually touches it or not. If the car is hitting it, you may want to try removing it and see how it goes.

I did spool, and summit rear shock at the same time that a removed the bumpstops. I had marks on them (got some paint on them when painting in BFH mod) were the paint was cracking and rubbed off form the axle tubes. But gaind about a tenth in the 60's no problems on the street so far.

I gained, because my car would leave, rear didn't really move, it pulled the front up then the rear would compress a touch as the front was coming up the the car was moving forward... it would hit the stops and unload the rear tires, causing them to spin. Not good.
Alot of cars will seperate at the hit, mine's never seemed to do that, rear generally doesn't move at all, unless I have the shocks set really soft because the track is absolute garbage... a common occurance in these parts.
When I have a good track the car will sett a 1.37 to 1.38 60 foot, which for a 625 rwhp setup @ 3350 lbs I didn't think was too bad, only problem is that it's not very often that the prep up here is that great, etown's prep for anything other then a big event can be iffy, island is usually o.k. and lvd has been o.k., it's been a good bit better then it was in previous years, but it's still not atco type prep.

This was my first day out with the drag shocks, front needs some more dialing in but do the rears look like they are nailing the bump stops. Seems the car was unloading pretty hard and the front was bouncing around way to much. You can skip to .50
