Default Running brake lines on rear end...

I bent all stainless line for the rear end from both calipers to a bulkhead tee and from there i have a flex hose from the tee to the chassis.. Someone told me that you had to use flex hose out of both calipers.. Does anyone know for sure? thanks for the help in advance!

sure would make it easier to lay the caliper out of the way when doing brake/axle work.

depending on the brake setup, as the brake pads wear the caliper also needs to move inside the bracket. a solid brake line will cause pad wear issues in that scenerio.

only place you need flex hose is between the suspended and unsuspended parts of the car. Sounds like you're taken care of. Flex hose is needed so it can flex when the suspension is moving up and down.

I just ran brake lines on a rear end yesterday. I'm using flex line on the ends for ease of maintenance like others above have mentioned.

I have a rear brake line kit that you could use from your calipers to the stainless lines. Give me a call at the shop if you're interested. 225-673-3533

What I do, is run the single line to the back of the car, put the T on the chassis, then run a line to near the rear wheels on both sides of the body, so that I can run 1 flexible line to each caliper.

This way, I can drop the rear out of the car completely, and just hang the caliper's off a couple ties/coat hangars on the chassis, and not crack a single brake line when doing this. Saves the time of having to bleed the brakes if I have to pull the rear out of the car for whatever reason
