Looks pretty nice! The only criticism I see is that the padding you have is not technically legal. You will get away with it fine at 99.9% of the tracks in the US, but there is special "SFI Approved" padding that you have to use to be totally legal. You would also have to cover the main hoop where your head could possibly hit.

^^^At $3.50 a 3 foot section vs $30 I went with the cheap stuff. LOL Should not have a problem where I run.

agreed. My bar doesn't have anything on it, but I race at a VERY lax set of tracks.

See link for one option. The water noodle stuff will normally cut it, but the stuff above cannot be argued with.

Did it myself with help. Just purchased the kit from Midwest. Started last Sat night around 6pm and got home with it complete including paint at 4 am so roughly 8 hrs but I had a very experienced fabricator helping me out. I paid the guy $300 to weld it up and jig notch ect. Maybe a hair high but fair for the amount of work. The kit I will not list cause it was stupid cheap. Give Eric a call.

As long as the welds are there and not cracking or coming undone no tech inspector is going to care on a 8 point
