Thumbs up 1st 2004 Race Report

Well, this weekend was a blast. The racing was fierce. Car ran great. Driver was ok. I need to get some practice in.

On Friday, TNT was cool. I made 5 passes. Nothing real great to write about, but worked on my lights. I missed the jackpot race. I was in the lanes for a run when they called for the jackpot race.

Saturday, On the 1st tech card I lost in round #3 with a .497 red light. The other guy cut a .604 light. On the second tech card after 4 hard rounds of racing I lost with a .527 light and 2 over to a .507 light and 1 over. Damn thats drag racing. In drag racing anyone can win on any given day.

The Hot Rod ran in the low 7.20's at 94mph both days. Not bad for the little motor that could!

glad to hear you won some rounds Coach. I'm sure with a few more races under your belt you'll catch a win soon! I'm waiting for 2 things: the racing season to start and the division 2 banquet so I can pick-up my NHRA gold card!

Thanks Derek,

I think this year is going to be good to me. I would love to be picking up a NHRA Gold Card. That totally ROCKS!

Thats a good start Coach. Keep up the good work.

Our race track doesn't open till April so my brother and I went to Summit last night and I bought one of those Eliminator Practice Trees. We played with that thing for a 1/2 hour or so in the parking lot. Man my lights were all over the place at first till I settled down and got serious.

I can't wait till the season starts

Thanks Tom,

Yea, the practice trees are alot of fun. They do help me with my lights at the track.

Man, I would have to move if my tracks didn't open until April.

too bad the card won't pay for super chevy or pro edelbrock racing, much less test and tunes either. But my last one figured up to $650 in savings for saturday night races

Hey Coach,
You know I bet the if there was someone filming that, that they could film you going down and then come back and film me coming down in my friend's truck. What did you run the time I raced you?

Thumbs up

S J Lingenfelter,
Ha, Ha!!

I ran a 7.22 on that run at 94 mph. Come see us sometime at the house.

4.8redchev(Chris Tally),

I hear ya about our lights. We need to get back on the practice tree.

You need to put your race car in your sig.

This young man has one of the sweetest dragsters on the planet!

By the way, this little man is a former JR dragster champ. He can flat out drive a race car. He runs 5teens at over 135 in the 1/8 mile.

Coach

This might be a stupid question but do you keep your car at your house? If so do you take it out on the streets? Oh ya I need directons to your Casa. PM me with them or call cell.
