For sure. I dont want to jinx us.. but we shouldnt have any problems getting it out when the tracks open up here. When i was on the dyno i had fueling issues. I am running 2 walbro 255's, and a boost ref fuel reg. I had base pressure around 60(i think... its been a little while) it would raise to almost 70, then fall off to mid 40's. With the fuel pressure not keeping up my 60# injectors were maxed @ 9 psi... So we didn't push it.

Fueling issues should be takin care off. In the 9.8 pass we had 17% converter slip That is being fixed. We also were out of gear, so new one getting installed.

We will get a little more weight out of the car, i have the vfn lift off 5 inch slopped hood. Im trimming and mounting, then need paint. I also will probably be throwing a chute on the car.

(i am probably going to need it to pass tech or not get booted, since bryon is going nhra)

Thanks, Chris

As Chris said, thanks for the compliments guys. We haven't done much to it yet this year, but we are getting back into the swing of things. Updates should be coming soon.

It is a one owner, two builder/driver car. Unfortunately at this point in time I cant afford ****, so I dedicate my time to Chris's car to feed my car addiction. Lucky for me Chris likes building and modding cars as much as I do, and we generally are on the same page with how it should be done. So it works out well for both of us, he gets a lot of free help, and I get to work on something

sean is pretty big into photography, and he has more time then i do. If i was the only one posting there would be alot less pictures. I see how it can get confusing though. Chris

Well I post the pics, because I take most of them. Photography is one of my other hobbies, so I always have the camera ready. I guess the reason we both comment on it is because when if I see something and Chris hasn't addressed it yet I just will. It is a little confusing, but if/when anyone asks we explain it. One day I will have my own car again, and it will much easier to follow along

Well with all this resurgence in the TA, why not update while we are at it! We usually wait until after the holidays to really get after it and it was the same this year. We started last weekend but we weren't very motivated. The plan was to pull the trans to get the converter out. We got under the car and pulled the drive shaft, and took off the converter bolts. This gave us an opportunity to use the new BIG BOY ratchet!

Here is Chris getting it all set up

That is a Snap-On SLX-80, locking flex head, long handle 1/2 drive dual 80 ratchet. You can turn the motor so easy with it, its unreal! Having the right tool for the job makes it all so much easier.

Anyway he got the converter bolts off, and then started in the trans bolts. Once we started on the trans bolts, we both remembered the top bolt that is a pain in the ***. We actually installed it when the head was off of the car. That one bolt really unmotivated us, so we stopped on the trans. While Chris was under the car working I was up top pulling off the fenders. I actually pulled them off to get the back part of the hinges off of the car since it now has a lift off hood. Once Chris decided that he didn't want to pull the trans he started to lay out the fender supports to hole saw them.

And here is the results.

After that we gave it a quick coat of paint to stop rust, threw the fenders back on, and called it a day.

This weekend we actually tackled the trans, and got it pulled. Chris was able to get to that top bolt with the help of a long extension.

And here is the PTC converter that we are changing out. It needed to be re stalled, and after doing some research it was decided to go with a stronger unit. This converter worked great, but we are already at the limits of its power handling and we will be turning it up this year.

Thats actually about all we did. Chris started to run the second power wire for the fuel pumps, but that is nothing to look at. We should have more interesting updates in the next few weeks though. Here is how the car is sitting right now.

As always thanks for following along!
