Thumbs up New cam only best!!

Well i got the new cam and TP 4400 in the car over the holidays and had the PCM retuned this week for the new TSP cam and headed to the track today to try them out. I had 3 things going against me right away with no miles on the PCM but the ones i put on the PCM going to the track, green track since it has been down for 3 weeks and the DA not as nice as last time i went (-1600/-1800). Today the DA was around -900 but still managed to run a new best on every pass today . My old best was 11.48@116.52 1.52 60ft. with the B1 cam and Yank Pro Stock 4400.

60 ft. 1.52

1/8 7.16@94.62

1/4 11.31@117.91

I ran 6 11.30s today with 2 118 mph passes with the best being 118.18. Im going to change up some things on the exhaust and try to go back later after they do several weekend runs to lay more rubber down. I was fighting traction on my last runs, which one of them was my best. I was only able to launch around 2500-2600 rpms and anything above that the tires would not hold and spin so i know there is more left in the car with better DA and a harder launch We will see in the next month how fast i can really go with the new TSP cam and PT 4400.

Thumbs up

Sweet Watch out though, i may be coming after you soon Just with a different spec cam

I see you have 4.10's, is that in a 12-bolt or 10-bolt, do you think they help any, now with the big stall and the cam??

I think the 4.10s help more now with the new cam than with the B1 but the down side to 4.10s is that if the track is not semi prep'd you will spin. I think with 3.73s i can hook a little easier but i would be giving up a little topend in 3rd gear with the new cam. I was crossing all day at 6500 rpms so i was squeezing out every bit from this cam My shift extentions with the PT 4400 was 5800 rpms and it felt good to have a high shift extention converter back in the car, that helped out some over the Pro Stock i was running. I can't wait to go back in a few weeks because i really think with more learn time and a harder launch i can get 11.10s@119 out of the car the way it sets.

Lynda, slap the cam in and bring it on!!!

4.10s in a 10 bolt. This yank converters seem to be more forgiving on my 10 bolt than the Vig. and TCS converters. This is my 4th 10 bolt in the last year lol

XfiveLiter,my last check on raceweight was 3,390lbs but i think the scale was reading a little high that day with my usual being 3,365lbs. I think i can crack some 119 mphs with more practice and more weight removed because i have not got drastic on the strip mod yet, just the usual stuff.

DMcRacer, your car is impressive for bolt ons and should fly with a nice cam in it.

Very nice and fast for a cam car. I hope one day mine will be the same. Good luck for the faster time.

Harold, thanks man The car seems to be running stronger on the low end now that im driving it more so im sure with more driving 11.10s will be mine Just that after that it may have to come down to getting carried away with gutting the car and spending some cash on off the wall things to get me in the 10s cam only IF the wife is not to pissed by then lol.

Roger, the track was hooking worse than it has since september and the PT's are unfogiven on the tires when the track is slick. I think on a good bracket day i can get a 1.4x out of it.

Mike Hoffpauir, any tips on getting into the 10s would be nice
