BCM Questions
BCM Questions Can I remove the BCM from the car and still have the car function normally? I currently have the dash all apart and I am going through the harness to remove all the optional equipment. I was just curious if removing it was possible. I plan on making my own fuse boxes as well as junction blocks, not sure if that would have any effect on the BCM or not. Let me know what you guys have done.

You will need to ground the wire for the starter relay and have the vats disabled in the tune for the car to crank and run. The BCM controls most of the features on the car and without it in place you would need to rewire a lot of stuff and add a few relays. Power windows, locks, keyless entry, blinkers, headlights, park lights, courtesy lights, and retained acc power are all run through the BCM.
