Default Suspension Setup Help

I just finished installing a lot of new parts to my car and I am wondering where to start with all of this.

Moser 9" with LCA relocation
TRZ Anti Roll bar
TRZ LCA's
AFCO DA

I have the LCA's in the top Hole on the relocation brackets...............The LCA's are angled up a little.

The AFCO's are 18 clicks from loose on top and 12 clicks from loose on bottom

I havn't checked pinion angle yet, but we will set it to -2 or -3 degrees.

We will scale the car, but I am really wondering where I should put the LCA's and a starting point for the settings on the afco's

Thanks

I only have the AFCOs on the rear and the LCAs are angled up about 9 degrees from the subframe connectors.

thanks

I recommend going with the bottom hole on the lower control arms for maximum traction. As far as shocks go, I reccomend kinda stiff on compression and on the rebound adjust to track conditions. The rebound setting will drive the rearend to the pavement. However, every car setup/suspension is different...i'm just giving you info from what I have experienced. Just take a day at the track and see what works best for you.

Thanks,
Jason

Most people shoot for around 2 degrees running uphill from the rear to the car.

thanks That is really what I was wanting to know about the LCAs.

Im taking the measurment from the control arms off of the subframe connectors......is that the correct angle i'm looking for?

I have the pinion angle at -3

How firm should the compression be on the afcos? With the bottom **** set 12 clicks from full loose, I can bounce the rear of the car down until it hits the bump stops.

thanks

I would try 6-8 clicks from all the way stiff on compression. Just have to play with and see what it likes.

Just stick your angle finder right on the LCA. It should read around 2 degrees in the direction stated above (i.e. rear mounting location should be lower than the body mounting location).

You need to set the pinion angle based off the trans shaft angle or you'll break u joints. I'd use a 2 degree difference for movement at the hit.

If your trans shaft is pointed up 1 degree, you'll want the pinion pointed down 3 degrees so they will be in phase when the rear rotates up 2 degrees at launch.

If your trans is pointed down 1 degree, you'll want the pinion pointed down 1 degree so they will phase.

trans down 2 = pinion at 0.

I use the next to last set of holes on the bracket for the lca..............that got me a little over 2 degrees going down to the rear end.

I took a look at the link above on setting pinion angle and it is set correctly at -3 degrees
