Default I need some detailed pics of this type intake setup,

Looks like max pipe size is 3.5 inches. Would like to do a 4 inch. I some some pics of the core support. How the filter was placed. Is the support for the hood latch cut out?

Is that Krazy's car!? Post this pic in the Eastern Members forum. You may get the owner and I am sure he can tell you what it had.

It's someone in the Northeast. Slowhawk is a Southeastern MA LSX tuner. Good guy.

That is Krazy's old black car.

If you have a carb type T/b, I have seen one car that they used carb hat, pointed it right at the battery and ran the pipe down thru where the battery used to be and down into that corner of the car, by the airdam. Nice looking deal, and the pipe was 4 inch. Looked like an elephant trunk almost but it worked.

I'm putting together a similar setup on my car. Dr. Gas custom piping, a LS1 Vette-style filter where the AC used to be, tucked up on the radiator to get all of the air coming up from underneath, using the fog light openings for another air opening as well.

How much power did it pick up with that intake vs. the lt-junk style? I bet it picked up a TON.

Well worth doing IMO. Sonoco style hood, and I'd look at routing it down the side where the battery used to be, more room there for a big pipe.

You might be suprised. The LT1 manifold performs pretty well. Better than it should with those short runners. I know guys that gained nothing making that change. My Hogan sheet metal intake (at $3200.00) is worth barely a tenth over a stock intake with a little porting. Of course, where I race you would almost kill your Mama for a tenth.
