Default Fuel Cooler?

Quick Question..Are they worth it? Do they really do much?

My dad came up with the idea to add one to the car and fill it with dry ice..didnt know if it was worth the trouble or not!

Probably not worth it. Never heard of anyone showing it makes any better power.

I was talking with a super stock racer late last year, and he told me about that. He said he picked up about a tenth with no other changes besides the cooler. Not sure if everyone would see those same results, but I did just see where design engineering came out with a fuel cooling setup. I'd say there's something to be had with it.

it'd actually cool the air charge slightly, alot like methanol/alch does. moroso makes a "cool can".

If the car was a old school carb GEN I SBC then I would consider it.

I don't think an EFI car would benefit from it at all. Carb n/a car, maybe.

I'd say that's probably right. The guy I was talking to was a carb guy.

The real advantage to them was preventing vapor lock on block-mounted mechanical fuel pump setups without return lines to the tank. On hot days my 68 small block Camaro would vapor lock at the track if it didn't cool down for at least an hour. Moroso's cool can solved the problem for me.

I don't see an advantage with fuel injection. For one thing, the fuel is circulating too fast through the system to be cooled significantly, anyways.

That was my thought, it's not gonna be in the cooler long enough to do any good.

Now, if you had an alum fuel cell, and iced it like you would an intake manafold, then maybe. But I think the gains wouldn't be worth the effort.
