Default Trying to hook on the street...

Mods-

230/230 .613 .598 111+3 "el torro"
LTs
LS6 intake
Cutout

Suspension-

UMI SFC
UMI Re-location Brackets
UMI LCAs non-adjustable

I have them set in the middle hole on the relocation bracket I believe.

Tires are 315/35/17 Nitto 555R 18psi

Gears are 2.73s

Transmission is built with fresh valve body and solenoids. No shift kit. SS4000.

I heated up the tires and tried going from about 1500rmps, spun punching it.

Tried 1500rpms again, eased into the throttle, hooked, then spun in the upper RPMS and chirped into 2nd.

Tried 3500rpms and eased into it, hooked, but kinda slow, not enough throttle I guess.

Not sure what else I can try, tires perhaps, but what....295/45/17 MTs?

My 295 mickeys hook amazingly well @ 17 psi anywhere I am. On the street I come out around 3700 with some clutch slipping. They hook from 6K @ ghe track.

Only suspension I have is a torque arm and am cam only ms4

Do you know your '60 ft with those? Do I even need 295 or I'd probably be better off with a small tire.

Depends on your rims size. Ex. 16" rim would be a 26" tire. The ET Street's rock! There for street use but hook up like a damn slick!

I would goto a MT radial. On good pavement my nittos grab pretty good but on older asphalt I have to pedal it quite a bit....

Seemes like it has been pinned down but you need some real tires. The nittos help but are a real drag tire. The M/T or the like might spin a little bit but much better traction then the nittos for sure.

Well the MT's are the best, but if your gonna keep the nitto's for now, try lowering the pressure, and doing a burnout with water, if it is possible. Roll out hard laying some rubber down, and then try to line yourself back up on it when you leave. Nitto's just don't seem to work all that well, for most.
