make sure your clutch and drivetrain are up to the task, if theres a weak spot limiter launches will find it

heres a vid of the only time ive been to the track on slicks and boost, 2step was set at 5500 making about 3psi on the line, next time gonna bump it to 6k and see if it hooks, should be fun. cutting mid to low 1.5 60's

I have a Mosier 9" 4.56 gears 33 spline axles, billet steel yoke, 3" chromoly DS rated at 2000 HP and a billet steel slip yoke for the tranny. I think I should be ok if my trans holds up.

If you're in the market for a clutch, Monster Level III has held up really well for me. I got 80+ passes on mine without a single issue. A lot of those passes were hot laps when I was trying to dial in my suspension last year and not even a hint of slip, heat soak or clutch smell. No chatter during street drives either. Great clutch IMO. Stock master cylinder too.

Here's how you get'r done. 26" tall drag radials, Mcleoud soft loc clutch is the way to go for a fast 6 speed. I don't think the Monster stage 3 clutch is rated high enough for what I'm doing

Both those videos are SICK! I was reading in the manual transmission forum and Tick performance was telling some guy that if he had a drive line to hold it then launch it off the rev limiter on a stock trans.

Just thought I'd throw that out there. I know a guy who used to launch his SS off the limiter with slicks on a 10 bolt! scary but he never broke it.

Nice!

I told them I wanted to put a 200 shot on my setup and Steve told me it wouldn't be a problem. They also got a twin disk clutch out now and I'm sure it would hold anything you could put to it. Not sure if it's adjustable or a "soft lok" type like the Mcleod....?

Depending on track conditions I'll leave anywhere from 6200-7000 rpm off my 2-Step, my limiter is set to 7500.

Only vid I got since I'm at work, this was 6800

Snapped my main shaft 1st 5k dump on a dead hook. Guess Im the unlucky one. I have a Street twin clutch, PST 3.5 alum DS and a Dana S60 rear. My trans is the weak point IMO.

I don't leave off the limiter itself, but I leave off the 2-step @ 6200

I try to control my launch rpm by listening while I watch the tree. I aim at 6k, I occasionally hit 7.
