So it looks like there's at least 3 of us gunning for the record?

It seemed kind of easy accomplishing the bolt on record with my C5 (I mean that in the least cockiest way)

I like a good challenge, so I'm resurrecting my 6 speed 98 T/A

My best pass with that was 11.89 @ 118.27mph 1.83 60' a few years ago. probably weighed around 3350-3380 with me in it. picked up a stock 01 longblock for it a few months ago

Back from the dead. I ran over a speed limit sign with the car 3 years ago and it sat since then. Got married, have two kids etc etc. BUT the car just got put "back together" and seems mean as ever and wants the record. We pieced the front back together with used parts (hood, bumper etc) and also installed a midwest chassis 9in with 4.30 gears.

We are headed to the track tonight to get a baseline. Next year might be the record, but tonight will fun either way and hoping it clips off a new best

Will report back soon.

Good to hear that you got it back goin, sorry to hear the misfortune. Let's us know what it runs. You better be in the 10's if you wanna get past me lol. Mines almost back together, I'll probably have to wait till next year to run 10's.

Looks like your car is cruising! Congrats! 10's is/was the goal. One of us needs to get it!

The car ran ok last night, but quite a few bugs to work out. It went 118.5mph but with the 4.30's and 28in slicks we managed a best 2.10 60'. The track was packed and we only got a couple runs bc everyone kept breaking. The prep was terrible as well.

A ton of fun either way

Wow, that was definitely some shitty prep. Good mph, I think I'm gonna have to run 122 mph and 98 to 99 in the 1/8th to run 10's. Keep at it and figure out what it wants and you will get there.

Something I'm gonna work on here soon is iat's. Mine go down to ambient fairly quick after launch but are at least 10 degrees hotter than ambient on the line. I know this will help a bit on et but a lot on consistency.

Makes me want to put a stocker and T56 in....

Is it still considered stock internals if it's re-ringed, and freshened?

As long as it's all oem ls1 parts or replacements that would have came on it I would be fine with it but I'm sure there are other people that would have problems with it going on the list.

Most say it can't ever be opened up. It definitely can't be upgraded with rod bolts, springs, pushrods etc. I can't remember their name, but someone got kicked off the list because they swapped 241's onto their older car..

I only got a couple runs, but shitty prep mixed with a good amount of driver error. It was just blowing the tires off. The MPH was ok, but obviously low for where we are going. The DA was higher than before and the car is heavier then before at the moment as well. I was just happy to see it had some fight left. I don't think she has lost an inch actually.

Well keep us posted on the mods and such. I finally drove mine after all the mods I done. Still gotta change a few things on it before it will be race ready. I gotta get mine dialed in for the race season, see what it's gonna run with different timing.

OP: Keep at it and keep us posted. You'll get there.

We have been low 10's with an m6.

Thank you for the encouragement. Not to down play both of your results, I am sure that is VERY fast for your respective set ups but we are shooting for the "Stock Internal" record.

That is, the motor has never been opened up. Stock springs, pushrods, Stock cam, stock heads and of course Naturally Aspirated. My car Hasn't even had the intake manifold off at this point, although I do have a 102mm sitting around waiting for it

Another small update. We brought the car to the local 1/8th mile to get some practice runs in. The car ran a new best. 7.19 @ 94.5mph w/ 1.52 60ft. The car has more weight to be taken out, the intake to be added and small things here and there, but its creeping closer. Pretty sure that was a low 11 if only we were timing past the 1/8th

Nice job on the new best. I'm also a bolt on fellow. I can't see how y'all are trapping at 120 with bolt on fbody set ups. Some cammed cars don't even trap that. Either way nice job. I like keeping up with other bolt on cars. Keep up the good work.
