We need more info before trying to spec out a new converter, like if you were on the dyno, where did you make peak hp and tq and what do you rev to ? Or what does your car 60ft and what's the e.t. and trap speed in the 1/4 ?. If your serious about trying a higher stall, I would call the converter company up and ask them, their the pro's that do this for a living.

Converters are just like anything else you buy, YOU get what YOU pay for.

Above advise is sound. I would hold off until you can have someone build something that's set up for YOUR car. That's the only way that it will be right.

For the longest time I have always preached to the fact that gearing and converter choices are one the last things you should do. Otherwise you stand a good chance at buying stuff over again.

Everything stated above is good advice.
You get what you pay for. Make sure your combo is done (or as close as possible) before specifying one out. If you are planning to spray the car a bunch, the converter selection might change versus N/A.

do not try to cut corners when it comes to converters. you can do a search on tci for example and read thru all the horror stories. i'm running a Vig triple-disk and it's been working great. save up and buy a quality converter or you'll be paying A LOT more when replacing the trans.

i shift at 6600 rpms, i already have a 3600 converter but it is a fuddle and it has been a good converter but i feel like im leaving some on the table. i planned on haveing edge build me a custom converter. they charge 550 for a custom converter and i did some research and noone seemed to have any fail. i havnt got to run the car at the track cause it doesnt have a cage but i put an autozone starter on the car and it wrecked my flywheel so now i have to pull the trans and i am goin to go ahead an upgrade it while i am in there. i dont have alot of cash as i am trying to buy an 02 chevy truck at the moment.

I would keep the Fuddle until you can swing the coin for a Circle D 2E 4000 stall if you are staying NA or a Circle D 5C if you are going to spray. The Fuddle is comparable to the Edge IMO and not worth spending the money on unless you have a problem with the Fuddle. A 5C will be a HUGE improvement over your current converter and well worth the money and time spent. You could always sell the Fuddle to help cover the cost of a quality converter. G/L
