Take time to learn how to launch on these tires and once you do you will never use a slick. I learned that even with the auto you need to give it more throttle and spin the tires even harder, spinning for about 3 or so feet as you roll forward out of the box because they seemed to still pick up a little water if you just roll forward and let them slow down.
I just went 9.75 @135.88 w/ 1.35 60' on 295/65/15 in my blackbird. Oh and on this pass you can see the side wall wrinkling and i'm not using tubes in them. I'm also going to run them on my red ws6 also.

Ok seems to be a lil confusion about the tube thing. On the ET street drag radial, no tube is needed. I have run them without tubes without issue on my vette and my cousin's z28. The ET Street bias ply which was mentioned earlier in this thread is the one that needs a tube put in it. I ran them without tubes before I knew any better and they would lose air very easily and sway like a SOB when I was on the highway and at the top end of the track. I switched to Hoosier QTP's and I have also ran the Hoosier drags and no sway at all what so ever the car even hooked straighter. It came off the line even. The ET bias ply would leave crooked and I would have to fight it straight, don't get me wrong they do hook but you would have to spend more with buying the tubes and all. I am not one to spend more to get the same end result.

I've had the same experience with MT drag radials 275 45 R17's, this last weekend was my first time out with them, slipping the clutch at 2200rpm netted me 1.85 60' went 11.74 @ 122.XX. Should have tried higher rpm and more slip... next time! I am running a stage 3 monster, it seems really hard to slip when you get a little heat in it.

All the guys running them I know hook them but you have to put some heat in em to get em sticky. If you go with a bias ply wrinkle wall tire like the regular ET streets you don't really have to do much of a burnout. I have run bias ply ET streets on the previous 5 cars I have had as well as my current Camaro and Lightning and never had a problem running them without a tube. You will get a swaying feel on the big end but its not that bad at all.

Track was pretty good. We tried a few different tire pressures and launch rpm's. Suspension is nothing special. UMI tranny mount adj. torque arm (still mounted to the tailshaft), and panhard. Spohn adj. lca's, QA1 single adj. rears , dble. adj. fronts, Kenny Brown lowering springs, and SFC's. I also have a 9" with 3.89's.
