You will be 25.5'ing mine early in 2011 for your attention to detail as shown above both in your work and in your knowledge base.

Cage looks excellent to the OP! And for Broke EF-->Nothing wrong with questioning, it's good to have critical thoughts interjected rather than obligatory nut-swinging. I like your style, haha.

Well it has been forever since I updated this and sadly not much has changed. Life has gotten in the way and I've lost a lot of motivation. Hopefully heading to the race track to watch this weekend will light the fire again. Gonna start with painting the cage, getting the dash back in, and then the non-PCM related wiring.

Cage is painted, dash is back in just need to trim the dash pad a little more. Most of the wiring is done and the Ozite carpet just showed up yesterday. Hope to have some pictures to post tomorrow or this weekend.

I hope to make it out sometime next year. Still have a lot of money left to spend and work left to do.

I keep forgetting to take the camera with me when I go up to the shop. Basic wiring is pretty much done. Need to cut the cowl and inner fenders and then paint the engine bay.

Ordered the manual brake kit from Burkhart and it should show up today or tomorrow. Still have a ton of parts to order but spending has been slowed due to some wedding purchases.

Awesome build!
Keep the progress pics coming.

What does NRC get typically for a roll cage like the one who had
installed?

Send them an email or give them a call and they can give you a quote. They are great people to deal with and the quality of the cage is awesome.

Will give them a call.

Their work looks outstanding.
Looking to get a baseline what the cost difference is between
having the work done locally versus NRC.

Looking forward to more pics of the build.

I think the cost of gas plus your time might sway you towards somewhere local.

Sorry about all the pictures going away. Got rid of my hosting since I wasn't doing much with it. I'll upload them all somewhere else and hopefully have some new ones to post this weekend now that Christmas and New Years are out of the way.

Just edit your posts with the new image links from wherever your photos are now. Kinda sucks when threads lose their photos as 50% of the comments are based on them!

Joe

PS. I've done it myself before and then let out the, dooooooh! When I realized what I did.

Yea I knew it was going to happen. I wasn't using my website for anything but hosting these pictures so it just wasn't worth the cost. That and I wanted to drop GoDaddy since they support SOPA but that's for another thread.

I'll have access to a plasma cutter this weekend so I plan on getting rid of the rest of the fender metal and the cowl. Then I need to prep the engine bay for some paint, probably just flat black.

After I did it, I switched to photobucket.

Got all the pictures uploaded again except for a couple of the cage that are on my work computer. About to head up to the shop to get some cutting done and take some pictures.

Got a lot of cutting done yesterday. I need to pick up a grinding wheel so I can smooth the edges down then I need to figure out what to do with the gap between the top and bottom of the cowl. I have a thread bookmarked with some ideas.

What are you using to cut that?

Plasma cutter. It was my first time using one which is probably why the cuts are so jagged and crappy.

Well I've decided to sell the car and all the parts I've accumulated during this build. Thanks for the kind words during the build but I just have other things I'd rather focus on now.

If you are interested in the car or any parts check the classified section under my name. Thanks.
