HVAC removal: bolt/screw locations

Default HVAC removal: bolt/screw locations

I have the dash and everything out, PCM out etc, i have all the black 10mm bolts i can see out (can only readily see 4), how many are there, what are their locations? What else needs to come out to remove this? thanks.

There are several more, some from the engine bay side and the rest from the interior. Some of the interior bolt heads may have panel sealant over them so you'll have to go digging. Pretty sure there are 9 or 10 total.

there is one, engine side of the firewall, right behind the intake.

like 4 or 5 of each side (all 10mm). I'll add pics of the hole left by removing the box tomorrow morning... It shows where ALL the holes are at least.

got them all, thanks guys! Have another question.

I see some guys removing this by drilling spot welds etc:



Will this compromise the structure of the car by removing? I have weld in subframe connectors, and i am not planning on a roll bar or anything in the immediate future. Would it be alright to remove this as well or best to leave it alone?

There is some ridgidity in those pieces. A cage though would more than make up for the removal.

Alright, i will hold off then. I plan on probably needing a 6pt after the first outing in the spring, so i guess it will happen then.
