Looks nice. I wouldn't have put the inside corner in there.

We thought about rounding the insides but were rushed for time and the machinist thinks it will be fine. His shop make lots of parts for GM, Chrysler, Harley, Stihl etc. Says he would never ever trust cast alum but billet is strong and said rule of thumb is to make it twice as thick. I guess we could always remake them in billet steel or make new ones without the square inside but he's thinking these should work just fine. Any metallurgist in the house that would disagree with him?

Do your self a favor and throw away the stock AFCO rubber grommets. The ones that go on the top of the shock are junk.

They did seem rather thin. I have more laying around I can swap in. Thanks for the heads up.

+1 on the stock grommets. My rear AFCO's started rattling after the first track day with them because the grommets were shot. You would think a 300/dollar shock would have a decent grommet, lol...

AFCO makes a rear set that has the **** relocated just for F-Bodies. They bolt in. I think the ones from Mad Man have his specfic valving for F- Bodies.
I don't know why he doesn't sell the bolt in ones.

I meant the shock mount. Not the actual shock.

don't afcos have a rod end on the lower mount, do you even more movement and the transvers mounting bolt? Unless like you run +/- 5 pinion angle or building a 4x4 car, I dont think you would?

Found some. Looks like MWC is making some bolt in ones. Looks like you will just have to drill a hole in the top side so the bracket will not want to spin. Makes sense.
