My guess is that he did that to have an extra charging post on the car after he deleted the factory chassis harness.

More info on the vacum pump if possible..


I looked up the part number provided 22642 and I see the bracket built in to the unit.
The pictures posted for the install make it look like the vacum pump bolts to the water pump, is that correct?
How about the extension off the crank pulley, Can any info be provided for that?

The only thing that concerns me with the adapters for the BBC pump in my application is I run a motor plate. This would require me to space things out differently and not sure I'd be happy with even longer water pump bolts.

I am trying to find a vacum pump solution though. So any/all info would be great. Thanks a ton!!

I'm guessing this style pump won't work with a stock radiator? And is it required to run the t-stat housing?

That one definitely sticks out a bit further than a stock pump so if it were me I would measure it first. You would need to run the thermostat housing in order to run an upper hose since that pump only has an inlet built into it unless made a tee from the two -12's. I think the thermostat housing setup like the earlier pics showed would make things easier and cleaner looking though.

Guys if you have questions i would say contact moroso. We did this 2 years ago and dont know the part numbers off hand anymore.
