OP... this is just something to consider. I have a race car now that I am converting back to a street car. I raced maybe 5 or 6 times a year. I have a 6point and the rear seat is unusabe for safety reasons. I am going to convert to removable side bars so I can leave them out for good. In many ways I wish I never installed the roll bar as I am now into driving the car much more. Make sure you really want to go down this road before you pull the trigger.

I read that thread when it was current, do you have any pictures of the finished product? I.E. the t-top bracket details, headliner installed, etc.

No you don't. With the factory floorboards and firewall even with the t-tops a 6-point is required at 11.49 and needs to be replaced with a 10-point at anything faster than 10.00.

You have to read that rule book closely, some things can be read wrong and mislead you.

I am also considering a 6 point in my daily. I am 6'3" and it really sounds dangerous for me to drive with a cage on the streets. My local track is NHRA and is very strict on the 11.49 cutoff. My car is way more of a street car, but seems to be heading the opposite way, which I do not like. I put on about 8,000 miles a year with a few friday night street races (local track event).

don't do it man. your car is way too nice. My wife has a show quality 11 sec Z and I am making her stop there. she drives it most every day... I wish I left mine like hers. Now I have 800RWHP that goes to the track, at most, 6 times a year. Not worth it. I wish I still had my supercharger and AC.
