I know Mark from Racecraft had posted a while back they did a strut version for those who could not use the other hatch. I think he said it could be easily modified to work with a glass hatch

Cool! I ordered some stuff from Racecraft today. I really like their wing. I'm still thinking I will need the weight of the factory hatch on the rear. The battery is the only thing that is going to be in the back so I will need some weight to get this thing balanced. Maybe some of the chassis gurus can help us out here?? I am curious to know what this car is going to weigh.

We still run the stock hatch on our TT5 car. We really needed the weight with the big ol Fulton motor up front. Plus we still had to add some weight in the rear to get the distributuion correct. I think they hatch is not really much lighter. I think its the back glass, all the brackets, and lift supports that add a bunch of weight.

Thanks Mike!! Hey Timmy did you weigh your car? If so is it similar to mine? Do you run lexan in the rear or glass? I thought about a BBC but I want to try a small block. I haven't ran one in 20 years. On a side not the brake lines are done!!! Hope to bleed them tomorrow if the wife get home from work.

Our car has the factory glass in the rear. It has a carbon hood and scoop up front and fiberglass doors. With the Fulton 870 (which weighs a ton) the car comes in at 3160 with a 200 lbs driver. Thats what we weighed in at in Georgia at the Radial race. We are in the process off dropping some pounds off the front. If I get some out of the front I can remove some of them lead pucks in the rear. They said we could be 2900 when we go back in October. We shall see what happens
