Default What Color to Paint Roll Cage?

So im building a 6 point rolll cage for my car and i dont know what color should i paint it. The car is a 2000 Trans Am Black exterior and ebony interior. My cars theme is kinda black and silver right now but i kinda want to change it to black and red, and i want to cage to stick out a little but sometimes i want it hidden so its not as noticible i dont want the car to looks ricerish with different color roll cage besides black. Any pics or suggestions would be great, thanks.

yup get a can, brush on no dripping but thick one coat, and leave it. Don't keep bushing it, it will get streaks, and mess up how the hammer finish dries.

Stick with black - you won't regret it.

I have some of the Rustoleum Hammertone Black at the shop that I plan to use when we finish up the cage in our car. Picked it up at Wal-Mart. From what I have seen the tone matches the charcoal of the dashboard quite nicely. Plus, I've always liked the hammertone powdercoating on dragsters.

You guys using a bristled brush or foam brushes for the Rustoleum Hammertone?

I've used both. foam gets loaded and really heavy and sagging at the end. bristle was cheapie, pulled out any loose hairs dry. But still had to pick 4-5 out of the wet paint.

the black hammer in a spry can was darker then the qt I have. Both rustoleum. BTW

black hammer rusroume- same can I used on the rollbar, used the 2.99 mini roller

I'd go with dark gray or black. Then again if were born around 1985, have a windshield sticker for your car club, call your car Vader or the BatMobile, watch Jershy Shore, and have a TV in your car I'd go with red.

I just did the cage in my dads formula with the rustoleum hammertone. Brushed it on and it turned out beautiful and only need one coat.
