Lightweight battery?
I need a new battery and can get an Optima yellow-top deep cycle from a friend for only $70. Should I do the lightweight battery or get the yellow-top and move it to the rear spare-tire area? Thanks.
I've got a buddy that runs a lawn & garden battery in his car, year round... with an amplified stereo system. He hasn't had many problems at all. But he does keep one of those jump packs in his trunk during the winter, just in case. By the laws of physics, it shouldn't be working as well as it is.

thanks!
Had an Odyssey 1200 in a high compression SBC 67 Camaro and have been hooked ever since.
0769-2007 (i think) its the Hawker 13.5# one, i have it and it works GREAT, not problems at all, car sits for many days cold or warm it starts up right away every single time
I bought the battery and a install kit from Raging. The kit has hold downs and the adapters. It`s actually preety cool and makes for a clean install. As far as being able to support a EWP, not sure on that one. As long as you had the car running and the alternator was spinning, I don`t see why it wouldn`t work.
The 925 is 26Lbs and is about the same rating as the Stock unit...except for load rating is 100amp higher then stock.
I am putting it in the rear so just wanted to cover my bases for power.
I can always go smaller when I am done but bigger is a hard one

It was like $114 to my door.
Update. Just put the old battery on the scale and it hit 38Lbs
