Default HALs and 60's

I have read different things on the hal setting ranging from stiff front to loose fronts from stiff rears to loose rears. Will you guys post your settings along with your 60's so us rookies can get a clue?

I'm a rookie to with Hal's. I have stock shocks upfront & Hal QA1's in the back set all the way loose/soft. Last weekend at 32 degrees outside I cut a 1.68 sixty foot time, and several low 1.7's setup this way.
I have Metco lower control arms also, on BFG drag radials. Fred

I'll offset the rears sometimes with the right at 5 and the left at 4, I will go from 0-2 for the front settings, can't really be around zero anymore due to the addition of the iron block......

Do you have a 6 speed or automatic. I have a 6 speed and run 2 in front and 4/5 or 5/6 in the rear, depends on the track. Any looser than 2 in the front and the shifts get a bit bouncy gouing down the track. I would not recommend any looser than 2 in the front on a 6 speed.

I usually run zero in front and 5 and 7 on the back (sometimes 4 to 5 on the back). I have stock front springs and at least 60 lb more weight in the front end than stock car due to the turbos. Since I have no traction til mid third gear its impossible for me to say what works best.

Can't make it, wont be drag racing much for a while. Still need to buy some slicks, otherwise it pretty much a waste to have to be at 50% throttle until third gear.

Whats that thing running with nitrous anyway?

Good luck, you will probably win again
