Are you being sarcastic? That thing is ultralight especially if it is with stock wheels.

2500 is a lofty goal. If you have absolutely no safety equipment in the car and it's all done with chromoly, then yes it can be done. But, it won't be very safe to drive on the street that I can tell you.

I'm aiming for 2800 with a BBC when I'm done, class minimum is 3000 for me, and I want to have about 200 lbs of ballast to move around as I need. Car will be back 1/2'ed and a 25.3 cert, and I will be around the 230 lb mark as well.

If you want to spend the $ you can get one of these cars alot lighter then you think. But... it's not cheap.

hm.... I should be about 3000 then. Still bone stock up front. But !PS, bullets off the collectors, cowl is cut out of it, fiberglass hood, and drag rolling stock. Still have door bars and all interior metal and panels. I need to cut the front fender metal now, and get rid of these heavy stock seats and brakes. I'd like to hit 3100 with me in it... I'm 240 now and I plan on getting bigger.

That's really not a bad weight for a 4th Gen. Now, just get the power to the ground, and you'll be set.

Ok cause im thinkin bout weight reduction again. What kind of weather have you been driving in with no carpet or a/c?
I asked a bunch of guys in this thread here how it would be with no carpet and they made me decide not to do it...https://ls1tech.com/forums/drag-raci...no-carpet.html
