New LSX MOZEZ Nitrous Combo Pictures!
It has been a very very long winter, with many race car projects. After my rough season last year with issues beyond my control, I ended up selling the previous engine combo..... I started on this project back in October of last year, but it has taken some time to get it all done. We had the Mozez canted valve heads in short order, but the Marcella intake and custom camshaft kinda killed my original project time line. But, its finally done and bolted in the car. Everything has been designed and ordered around an ALL OUT nitrous combo, and I will be finding out very soon how things work on nitrous. I also sent the car to Larry Larson of Larson Race Cars to get a bunch of chassis work done. Larry did alot of work in the engine bay and throughout the car. I will post up pictures later of the rest of his work, including the custom pro-stock style wing, cage bars, sheet metal work etc.
As for an update on last year, the car did go 8.47 @ 164 with a mild 200HP tuneup with the C5R engine. This one should do slightly better
A few quick details and then on to the pictures:
- LSX block, 432 ci, solid deck
- Custom Diamond Pistons with a killer ring pack to handle whatever I can throw at it
- GRP Aluminum rods
- Callies Magnum Crankshaft
- ARE 4 Stage Drysump (carry over from old combo)
- Jesel .904 dog bone lifters
- Bullet Custom billet cam
- Mast Motorsports/Cary Chouinard MOZEZ Canted valve heads, titanium valves, locks, retainers etc.
- Trend Custom 1/2" pushrods, with some Pro-stock tricks
- Jesel Shaft rockers
- Mast Motorsports Billet valve covers
- Marcella Manifolds sheet metal tunnel ram intake with twin Wilson 2000 cfm TB's
- Nitrous Outlet 2 stage Dry Nitrous setup
- Testing Bigstuff 3's new dry nitrous control for the COP style engine.
A big thanks goes out to:
Don Baxter for the meticulous engine assembly, and new transmission build..
Cary Chouinard for badass heads/valvetrain/valve covers
John Marcella for the Awesome intake combo
David Vasser, owner of Nitrous Outlet, for the 2 stage Nitrous system and flowing service with 6 different tuneups!
Brian Thompson of Thomson Automotive for the meticulous machine work on the block etc.
Larry Larson of Larson Race Cars for getting the car done and out the door in the time shedule I had, along with unbelievable fab work!
Enjoy some engine ****!!!

I've got a long list of things that Larry Larson did to the car, and the best part from start to finish he took only 2.5 weeks. Absolutely incredible work, and a quick turn around. Larry and his crew are masters at what they do, and it shows. I will post a few pictures of the engine bay prior to paint to give you an idea on the quality of the welds.
Well worth the 400 mile drive one way
