Default Gauges Sweep and trip resets everytime I start the car!

Ok, so i have seen this happen before in car once. I still had the stock battery in it and it was like 7yrs old. So i switched the battery out and it went back to normal. Well now I moved the battery to the back of the car and now the trip and the gauges sweep.

I thought it was bad ground so i re-did the ground and it still does it. Does anyone have any ideas of what it could be?

I have seen corrosion on the main power fuse cause this same issue. Make sure you have a good positive connection feeding the underhood fuseblock.

Okay so i did some messing around tonight and i couldn't come up with anything! I checked all of the connections and they are all good. My buddy used his voltmeter and we tested the voltage upfront and in the back and its the same 12v. When we crank the car it drops to 10.7v-10.8v. Is that normal? We checked his car cranking and it was the same. When the car is running it runs right at 14.3-14.4 volts. I am at a loss!!

I tried a new battery, went to wal-mart and put a new one in it the parking lot thinking that it would fix it and it didn't.

Theses things do the exact same thing when the grounds behind the head/heads aren't on or grounded properly. Gotta be a bad ground....

There are 2 locations to check for volt drop. The + and the - side....
Check across all connections, switches, alt, starter, etc....
Insufficient cable size is also a cause.

You need a very good ground from your block to your chassis and from your chassis to ground. I have mine grounded in the back with 1 guage and in the front off the engine also back to chassis.....
