I still haven't got a light weight battery but I think I'm going for the SHORAI LFX Lithium-Iron Powersports battery.

So is there any benefit if I already have a heavy optima in the trunk, to swap it for a light weight in the trunk?
This is pure drag car trying to get the weight down.

SHORAI LFX= 3.9 lbs.
YES, works great and took 35lbs off the front of my car.

My red top weighs 35, and my XS Power is like 16. So about 20lbs going that direction.

From my experience they suck. Relocate battery to the rear.

Dunno if anyone has tried it yet, but I'm going to, Autocraft LFP-8 from Advance Auto Parts. Its expensive, ($299) but you can get someone to knock off the price if you are buddies with someone there.. 500CCA, I'm going to run 2, 1000CCA and they weigh 4lbs a piece..

I wouldn't bother running two unless you really need them.
I'm on a month or two with my Lithium Shorai and the thing is awesome. No problems starting, idles fine even for more extended periods (5-10 mins), great in staging lanes. handles my 600/800w amps + 12" sub/speakers/headunit fine with AC on, it's great. Even hot starts, absolutely no problem. Haven't tried anything really cold but it doesn't get lower than teens here USUALLY in the coldest parts of the year.

Well, I have a 12:1 416cid engine, and the battery is relocated. I'm kinda concerned that it may not be enough.

Your current setup is helping weight transfer at your power level and will continue doing so as you get faster.

You DD with that battery? I'm pretty set on getting that one. I have no ac and pretty dead set on pulling the radio anyway.

I could daily my lightweight if I wanted, for damn sure with no AC. I did disable the DRL just so they dont pull on the battery anytime the key is on.

I could, but I have another DD'er. I drive it usually twice a week at least.

I have been running the Autocraft LFP-8 for a month now in my ws6 every day with no issues. 500cca cranks it over fast. I have the stock Monsoon stereo and with AC and headlights on at night havent seen any issues with it. My DRLs are disconnected

Cranks and starts everytime without having to charge?
I shouldn't have any issues. I don't DD mine either.
Disconnecting DRLs might be in my future too. Give me another excuse to take a couple lbs out lol.

I never charge mine and don't plan on it. If you have to charge a battery in a DD, it isn't a DD IMO.

So as a testament to how good this Shorai battery is, I just got done sitting in stand still (literally, huge accident) traffic for 45 minutes. The whole time I had my stereo on blast (two amps, 12" sub) and AC on full (granted it doesn't blow cold unless the car is moving) and there were no signs of the voltage dropping off at all or anything.

That would be a test of the alt, not the battery. Once running, the battery is almost 100% out of the equation. Glad to see its working out for you though.

Sitting idle with accessories and stereo going? Not so sure about that.
