3200 lbs race weight?
3200 lbs race weight? How much sh** do i have to take out to obtain this in a 99 T/a. 3200 lbs with drive and a 5 point cage. Car wont be a DD but will be a car driven multiple times in a week. ls1 h/c 12 bolt and all other supporting mods. is 3200 obtainable? 6 speed btw street/ strip car
Now what about using an iron block lq4 and keeping the heat,All interior panels, and stock suspension. when i say stock i mean stock k member and a arms but aftermarket shocks rear control arms ect. with drag tires and wheels.

Weight reduction isn't always free, there's lots of stuff to purchase to get weight down.
Not sure if you can get to 3200 race weight just buying stuff, and the 1-2 weekend normal unbolt easy stuff everyone dose.
Take the car apart. Spend a lot of hours only put back what you need/want. It all adds up.

I'm at about 3100 (car weight)street mode and still have all interior, sound deadening, sway bars, stock modified k member, ac and cruise on 18's. On bogarts (drag mode) I remove the front sway(15#) and lose about 20# for the wheels. I think I can acually get this thing to 3000 and still have all creature comforts.....but that will take some trickory.
