You don't, and if you put a mini-spool in it and drive it on the street you should be shot.

If you're stepping up to a spool then you'd be much better off investing in a rear end worth a ****.

Do yourself a favor and put the money towards a good rear end. Even if you spool a 10 bolt the tooth size on the gears is too small to take any real power. The axles won't hold up either, and will fail.

Save your money, scrap the thing and put at a minimum, a 12 bolt in the car. (auto car you can get away with a 12 bolt for quite a while without any problems, well into the 8 second zone anyway) Stick car I'd put an S60 or 8 inch in it and be done with it.

The first link doesn't have a spool for a 7.5" 10 bolt. The second link is for 26 spline axles. 4th gens have 28 spline axles from the factory.

Like said, start searching. Contact Manufactures. I personally would never spool a 10 bolt. Just throwing out ideas.

I did some more searching and some site do show 26 Splined for 4th gen's. I do not have anymore sitting at my house to go count them.

In the end like JL said, no point with exception of buiding a 4WD S10 off road truck.

Do it and be sure to post pics of the carnage the first time you go to the track.

a pic on the hook when you corner it, the axle comes unglued, and takes the 1/4 panel off...

As others have said. Save your $$.
