Question What mods are needed to reach 11 sec?

I don’t to change the head, no NOS and no S/C? don’t exceed $2500. What mods should I buy to reach 11 sec?

No N20 and a $2500 spending limit makes it tough I'm afraid. A M6 couldn't do it. Reason being they would need a $2500 rear end to sustain the launches that would post 11 second slips. An auto might have a shot at it but it would be close. If an auto was to try I would suggest,

TCI 3500 torque converter with tranny cooler
ET streets (or at the very least Drag Radials)
LT headers
Cutout
underdrive pulley
Lid
ARA ram air (should work better then SS factory ram air)
Weight reduction
Excellent track conditions (cool weather, good prep and sea level elevation)

With a very good launch 11's are possible but low 12's would be more probable. Don't forget if it's a NHRA track they want you to have a roll bar installed.

You're kidding, right? You just eliminated most of the things that will get you there. Most people need to spend 3 or 4 times that amount to run 11s, and use a combination of the things you don't want to do. Unless you move to Texas....all cars run 11s there!

I think its pretty easy to get into the 11s.

M6=all bolt-ons, Clutch, and a gear.

A4=all bolt-ons, big stall, and a gear. And some weight reduction on both.

3500 stall converter, LS6 intake, TR230 cam, longtubes, and 3.73s put me in 11s on ET streets and skinnies. Find some good deals on used parts and borrow some wheels from someone then you might get there for close to $2500. You could also get there with a few bolt ons and a huge stall, but I assume you don't want to lose alot of driveability (also assuming you have an automatic).

What est times would I probably run with this setup? I'm getting a set of BFG Drag Radials for this season. Curious if I will break mid to low 12s maybe??

btw best last season with shift points bouncing the rev limiter minimum 3 hits for every gear change was 13.06. The shift points have been corrected now so I'm assumeing (btw was on street tires when I ran that) that I probably would hit 12.8 or 12.9 on street tires. How much does the DR's drop it with decent launch?

Mods:
99 TA fully loaded.
Free mods (ram air, airbox lift, EGR, etc etc etc)
SLP Air lid with K & N
SLP 85mm MAF
Smooth Bellows
Hooker Cat-back
TCI Superstreet fighter 3500 Stall
3.73 gears
B & M Tranny Cooler
ASP Underdrive Pulley
BMR Lower control arms with relocation brackets
LS1 Edit + dyno tuned by Delk Performance

Best street tire run with screwd shift points at the time was 13.06 @ 105.39.

This year I'll be using drag radials (BFG) and shift points are fixed. I also plan to install either just a cut-out or a offroad Y with cutout.

Can't afford headers or any other big $$ mods presently

4 grand should do it..... rear end is half of the money. the other half is the rest of your suspension to get your weight to xfer plus a few intake exhaust boltons.
