Question Baselined 01 WS6 109+ mph stock odd ET.

OK, I ran my stock 01 WS6 that I picked up at the end of November for the first time. When comparing the 1/8th to the 1/4 ET it seems like the car is pulling very hard on the top end and it is also evident in the MPH. Here is the whole slip:

60' 2.328
330 5.962
1/8th 8.876
MPH 85.01
1000 11.341
1/4 13.413
MPH 109.46

The 1/8th ET of 8.876 should only be good for a 13.85 and vice versa the 13.41 would usually have a 8.6 1/8th. Also the 85.01 MPH is very low for 109.46 MPH, it should be about 87 MPH.

I wish I could have squeeked another run in but it took me three hours to get that one in. The starting line was extremely slippery as atleast two FWD cars ahead of me drug water up to the line after driving throught the water pit like a mud hop. After launching off idle it took me about 15 feet before the car grabbed and started to move out. I thought I had broken something at first since it seemed like the car was in neutral.

I'm guessing the oddity in comparing the 1/8th to 1/4 is due to the amount of tire spin I had. The car I ran against had similar differences in his time (02 WS6) with a final ET of 13.946 @ 106.04 on a 2.466 60'

Its because of your 2.328 60, you definately need to work on that.

My first pass in my stock 2000 C5 Hardtop was a 12.8 @ 112.9mph with a 2.3 60ft.. That night there was a HORRID head wind, I'm not even kidding when I say that.

LOL. If the tire rubber wasn't floating in the standing water on the start line I think it would have been better.

She's definately strong and I could tell on the first drive.

Mine with a lid & filter ran 13.50s @ 104. Last time out I was running 13.0s @ 107. Get some traction & you should hit 12s.

I ran a 12.16 at 109, so I imagine the mph is good for mid 12s with most people.
