Over all race weight vs weight distribution Hey fellas, been doing some research in this fourm and wanted to know if there was any significance to over all race weight vs weight distribution. Trying to run low 10's, high 9 with a sound system (needs me tunes). Car info;
2002 Z28 T-Top
TT LQ4
UMI Everything (k member, a arms, sfc, lca, phb)
Mild Steel 6 point with swing outs (I'm a big boy)
other info in sig. I'd imagine since this is a street/strip car that nose weight would be a bigger factor that over all. Share your thoughts, I'm a bit of a sanctioned drag racing newb

I am sure the experts will explain this better but from my exp. and what I have learned from people far smarter and knowledgeable then me is that overall race weight and the ability to make fine adjustments by distributing the weight around the car work hand in hand.
You really cannot have one extreme without the other but I will say that almost all your adj. points will be unique to your car due to drivers weight and things like a stereo system. Some people have issue with nose weight by itself due to FI set ups. Every car can be different.
Curious, have you weighed yourself with the car??
