cam put in about 2 years ago now. The passes video taped there were late 2008 and weight reduction performed this past winter. Changed trans to a TH400 just a few weeks ago, just waiting to go make a few runs (new tires in garage too )

OP, I had spray and got a few 11.7 second passes on 50 & 75 shots, but the video above is pure N/A as was my 12.16. Cost me about 1500 for that evening.

That sounds way off. He has an LS1 intake that is killing airflow, a 12 bolt that is eating extra HP, a stock stall that will kill his launch due to a low STR and yet he traps what cam only autos trap and launches like he has a 3500+ stall. Something is not adding up.

Sounds like he either still has a bigger cam in it, sprayed or fabricationg his numbers to you. I would be very leary about buying this car until I know the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth about his mods and his times.

I don't know what you could tell me that would make me believe an auto with a 12 bolt, stock internals and ls1 intake can trap 116. I know what it takes to get an auto trapping 116 and it's more then exhaust, gears and a lid


Unless he's got massive weight reduction the mods and times just dont add up.

12.1 with a 1.7 short time, let alone 116mph!!

116mph in an auto is cam only times, in a decent setup. Full bolt manuals usually don't even by that.

My sisters header bolt on with a yank 3600 runs 12.2 full weight but at only 110. The et might happen but the mph indicates something doesn't add up.

And even with taking 500#s out and better da you would be hard pressed to hit 116.116 is stout for an auto to hit.

AGREED 116 mph is 11.60 mph with a good 60 ft, something is goin on.

Do stock 460le's have a place to see the converter, when the motor gets pulled I will be putting a cam in it so ill know for sure, but I don't wanna take the trans apart from the motor for no reason but I wanna know if there's a stall

if you are pulling the motor, then yea there will be the whole converter just sitting right there in the bellhousing.

12.1 @ 116, if the motor is stock, it absolutely has a converter in it, and I am 100% that the car is 100% gutted... or there's nitrous on it.

Easiest way to find out. Next time said car is around..... get it on a scale. If you see anything over 3000 lbs... it's got nitrous on it, or a "old man" type cam in it, converter, etc.

Likely, everything done to the car is done in a pretty stealthy way.... but it's safe to say it's far from stock.
